Lab technician and nurses deal with the health care and medical issues. These both careers have a good opportunities. These both courses need certification to become professional in their careers. The lab technician and nurse work on the patience problems and analysts their health issues but their roles are different. The lab technician work internally and nursing treats the patient directly. Now a days the demand for lab technician is increasing and there are no entrance exams for getting admission in paramedical colleges. You need to get a direct admission based on your 12th class performance.
Full details about lab technician and nursing are mentioned below. Lab Technician: - The eligibility to study lab technician is 50% in their 12th class from any recognized board. There will be two type of courses Diploma in Medical Lab Technician (DMLT), certification in Medical Lab technician (CMLT). - The age limit for Diploma is 25 years and 15 years for certification. After completing lab technician course the job opportunities available are Medical technologists in pathology, private pathology laboratories, blood banks and the lab technician can keep a private pathology center/ blood banks and you can even choose a teaching profession in colleges or institutes. Nursing: For joining in nursing there are many options like doing diploma/ graduation/ post graduation courses and even midwifery courses. To join in diploma or graduation or midwifery in nursing the eligibility required is mentioned below. - The candidate should complete their 10+2 in biology, physics and chemistry. -This profession requires lot of patience, responsibility, dedication, alertness of mind, physically fit, positive attitude and hard working nature. After completing nursing course you can join in any hospital. Depending on your certification you'll be given the post. |

The choice really has to come from you as it depends on parameters like your area of interest, eligibility criteria, admission fees, etc. If you enjoy interacting with people and are quick on your feet then BSc mlt course is for you. If you enjoy desk job and have more analytical view point then lab technician.

The ITM University offers the mlt course. The course syllabus is updated to match the needs of present-day lab technicians. The college also has a fully equipped lab so that the candidates can get practical experience. The college also has an active placement cell to handle all placements of candidates.
