I have a doubt regarding the Age limit. What is the maximum age limit for TNPSC group 1

1. In the information brouchure of TNPSC for group1 it is stated that there is NO maximum age limit for SC/ST/MBCs and in the advertisement for TNPSC group 1 it is stated that 35 is the maximum age limit for SC/ST/MBCs.

2. In one of the sites, it is mentioned like The TamilNadu Government has recently changed the Maximum age limit for SC/ST/MBCs to 40. http://www.radianiasacademy.in/tnpsc


Please clarify this

for tamil naidu public service minimum age is 30.

the age limit for the exam is 18 to 38, it was clearly written in the website:
www.serviceexams.co.in, or search in the tnpsc websites.so dont worry just write the exam if you in between the mentioned age.

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Exam 2011 Age Limit:

(A) TNPSC Group 1 Age Limit as on 01.07.2010.

(i) Minimum Age Limit for TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2011 : Should have completed 21 years (for all candidates) (i.e. should have been born on or before 01.07.1989)

(ii) Maximum Age Limit for TNPSC 2011 Exam : Should not have completed.

(a) 35 years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs, and Destitute Widows of all castes.

(b) 30 years for candidates not belonging to any of the above said categories

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) Conducts examinations for Recruiting persons for various Services of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, including State, Subordinate and Ministerial Services.

Age Eligibility Criteria -

For General Candidates - If you are Interested to apply for TNPSC Examination, then your age should between 21 to 30 years. The Upper age relaxation is applicable for Other Category Candidates.

35 Years is applicable for SC, ST, MBC/DC, BC, BCM, and Destitute Widows Of All Castes. Age relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit will be applicable to persons affected by the ban order as per the orders issued by the Government.

So, The Relaxation of 5 years is Only Applicable for the Reserved Category Candidates.

So, Eligible Candidates obtained the application broucher from any one of the Head Post Offices in Tamil Nadu OR from the Head Post Office, Puduchery on Payment of Rs 30.

the maximum age limit for TNPSC Group I exam is 30 years of age.

age relaxations is available for SC/ST/PH candidates as they dont have any upper age limit for applying.
