If you are from below mentioned degree holder then you are eligible for GATE exam other wise not.

(a) Bachelor's Degree holders in Engineering / Technology / Architecture & those who are in final year of Such Programmas

(b) Master's degree holders in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply here maximum time.There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.GATE score is valid for TWO years.3rd year student are NOT eligible for This year GATE exam.Only final year and pass out batch are eligible for 2012 GATE exam.

Stipend Per Month for GATE Qualified :- 8,000

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering conducted by IIT for admission to M.Tech. Courses in IITs, NITs etc.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed B.Tech. degree from any recognised University. There is no upper age limit for application to GATE.

There is no restriction to number of attempts to GATE which means a candidate can appear as many times as he can in his life time.

There is no limit for appearing in gate.
Gate is conducted once in a year, and if you're from the engineering field then you can apply for it if you're having an aggregate of 50% marks in graduation. And if you're from the science stream, then you should be having a minimum of 55% in your graduation. There is no requirements of age in this exam.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

this exam is only for engineers for doing M-tech course.

eligibility
candidate should complete their degree in engineering and technology
final year candidate can also apply
there is no age limit
and there is no attempt restriction for appearing GATE exxam.

This exam conducted for the admission of M.tech.

you get the good marks in GATE exam you get the seat of good college.

And you can get good govt job for this GATE marks.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:

Candidate should be citizen of India.

Educational Qualification:

Candidate should complete the Graduation in Engineering from a recognized University.

No percentage required for the GATE exam in Graduation.

Final year of the Graduation students are eligible for the GATE exam.

Age limit:

There is no age limit for the GATE exam.

No of Attempts:

No limit of attempts required for this GATE exam.

One can give GATE exam any number of times.No such constraint or age limit is mentioned in the GATE 2016 eligibility criteria.You should be in final year of your B.Tech.
The GATE score is valid for three yaers.It depends on which scorecard you prefer for taking admission.The only thing is that the scores are valid only for two years from the date of declaration of results.

I am pursuing my final year BE.I want to for GATE 2017.If I dont get good rank. Shall I appear for GATE 2018 and upgrade my Rank.Please let me know what happens to my Gate 2017 rank.
