hi...i belongs to sc category..i want know what is maximum nnumber of attempt for gate exam...for sc?

There is no limit on the number of attempts for GATE Exam. One can appear for GATE Exam as many times as wanted.

But to be eligible for GATE Exam, one should have completed Graduation in Engineering. Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation in Engineering are also eligible for GATE Exam.

But from this academic year, pre final year engineering candidates are not eligible to apppear for GATE Exam.

Not only for SC category, but for any category, there is no limit on the number of attempts for GATE Exam. But GATE score is valid for a period of 2 years.

If you are eligible and interested to apply for GATE Exam, you can appear.

Here are the important dates for upcoming GATE Exam.

Date of online GATE Exam: 29-01-2012
Date of offline GATE Exam : 12-02-2012

GATE stands for General aptitude test for Engineering .
Eligibility for GATE exam -
1.Bachelors holders in engineering/Pharmacy/architecture/technology are applicable .
2.Master's degree holder in Science/Math or equivalent are applicable .
3.Final or pre-final year's students of BE/B.Tech/Master's degree are also applicable .

There is no age limitation ,no limitation on number of attempts and no percentage criteria is required .
So if you can satisfy the qualification criteria then you are eligible for the exam .

An individual who holds a degree in engineering, technology or architecture may appear for the graduate aptitude test in engineering as many times as they want because there is no such limitations for candidates belonging to any category.

So, if you fulfill the eligibility criteria required to apply for the exam, you must not worry about the number of attempts.

The maximum no of attempts for GATE exam is unlimited.

GATE score is valid for Two years.You can apply it for many times.

The eligibility criteria for GATE exam:-

(a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/ followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only)

(d) Master’s degree holders in Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation (for M Tech programs).

see, there have no age limit for the gate exam.

so you can appear many times in your life.

so after competion of your engineering you can appear in the gate exam.

there have no age criteria for general as well as ST/SC category candidate.

but pre-final year engineering students are not eligiable for the GATE 2012 exam.

Graduate Aptitude Entrance Test will be Conducted By The Indian Institute Of Technology.

Eligibility Criteria For Applying Gate Exam:

The Candidate who have completed Engineering or B.E Can Apply For Gate exam.

The Candidates who are appearing for Final year can also apply for Gate exam.

The Gate exam will be conducted every year.The result will be valid for 2 years.

There is no age Limit for the Entrance Exam.

>If you have got good percentile in Gate entrance you can get seat in Top IIT's.

>You Should Take Coaching For Gate exam in good institutes like T.I.M.E ,ACE etc.

In this year the exam will be going to conducted in the month of 2 .12 .2012.

I hv done my 2 in 2002 with 54% in PCM. Being a SC category which engg. exam in 2012 i m eligible to give? KINDLY HEEEEELP???
