Dear Friend
Robotics and Mechatronics are really very good courses but it is better to do PG in one of these specializations rather than UG degree. You should first go for B.Tech. in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering and during B.Tech.(or B.E.) you should identify your area of interest(which is presently Robotics) for working in future. During 2nd year you must start simple projects in robotics. For this you will be required to study Embedded system, Micro-controllers, VLSI Design, PLC, SCADA etc. Try to study basic things from internet and then you can join short term courses of 15-30 days during your vacations to enhance your knowledge. Try to participate in the Robotic competitions organized in techfests of IIT campuses so that you can compare yourself with your peer guys working on robotics/automation. Also, various national and international robotic competition are organized worldwide. Once you complete your B.Tech. then you must go for higher studies in Automation/Mechatronics/Robotics. |
