Mechatronics is the collective combination of Control Engineering, Electronic Engineering and System Design for the designing and manufacturing of useful products. Mechanical Engineering as well as Computer Engineering is also used in Mechatronics Engineering. There are any colleges in India that offers postgraduate courses in Mechatronics. Those candidates who wish to join the Masters course should have finished their graduation in B.E, B.Sc or in B.Tech with at least 55% from any recognized university or college in India.

Candidates who have finished their course in Mechatronics can find jobs in both the private and public sector. Many leading companies in India hire freshers. The students can find jobs in fields like medicine, automobile and toy production in addition to surgery, agriculture and manufacture of sports equipment. Those candidates who are interested to teach can find jobs as Lecturers in prominent colleges. Jobs can also be found in the field of process development as well as in the preservation and operation of high-tech apparatus and other amenities. With the need for more products and systems in our country, students of Mechatronics can find jobs very easily. The salary of the candidates will depend upon the industry they work and the post they keep. Candidates who work in private firms can settle their terms as well as conditions directly with the management of that particular firm. Students of Mechatronics have an initial salary of around Rs 15,000 - Rs 20,000 a month. Professionals in the field may earn as much as Rs. Rs 25,000 - Rs 40,000 each month. Candidates are also given allowances along with their salaries. With the skill and proficiency of the candidates increases in a particular area increases, the remuneration will also be raised.
