dear friend,
there are many exams coming under the upsc like the IAS, railway exams etc. and for each, the eligibility varies. there are some field in upsc, that can be written once you finish up your 12th with pcm and score around 60%. there are some exams in which the minimum requirement is the graduation. so it depends on what exam you wish to appear. now, coming to you, The eligibility criteria would be that you should have a degree from a recognised institute/university or an equivalent qualification and that you should be between 21 and 30 years of age as on 1st August, 2010.and for an IT engineer you have scope in many sectors like the telecommunication field. for more information you can log into http://www.upsc.gov.in all the very best. god bless you |

the min. qualification for candidates to appear in UPSC are- *graduation in any steam from affiliated institute or university in india. *age limit-21-30yr.for unreresved category. there is age relaxation for reserved category according to upsc exam norms. after selection you can be chosen as countries next IAS IPS or IFS or alloyed services officer. Hey there are different exams conducted by the UPSC like Civil Services,NDA,CDS,IES,railway examinations for posts of officers.
Since your an engineering student you can go for CDS,IES,CSAT..etc. All you need is 60% in your graduation course,Since your a graduate hence your age must be around 21.Hence your eligible for some exams conducted by UPSC.You can get all the information in the following link http://www.upsc.gov.in all the best |

Minimum education criteria = Graduate
Maximum age criteria = 28yrs (for General category and I think it is 32 years for SC/ ST categories) How to apply:-You have to apply for UPSC (Union Public Services Commission) exam. http://www.upsc.gov.in !!!!!!!!!! |

A candidate should have a degree from a recognized institute/university or an equivalent qualification. Also a candidate should be between 21 and 30 years of age as on 1st August, 2011. Relaxation in age limit is given to various reserved categories. As you have done Btech in I you can either apply for IES exam or CSE ( civil services exam) conducted by UPSC. CSE eligibility: education - Candidate must hold a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Candidates appearing in final year exam of qualifying degree may also apply. age - candidate should be between 21 to 30 years of age. age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates. IES eligibility: Candidate must hold a bachelors degree in engineering in any discipline from a recognised university. final year students may also apply. |

Minimum age to appear for this exam is 21 years of age and upper limit age is 30.A candidate must be a graduate or must possess some equivalent degree from a recognized institute.A candidate can attempt 4 times only for this exam.

to write the UPSC exam you need to be just a degree holder in any of the branch and you age should be between 21-30...so you are definitely eligible and yes there are several jobs after UPSC exam available for IT engineers. |

Your question is not complete, because UPSC conducts Manny exams for different post. UPSC conducts exams like CDS, IES, NDA, IFS, IPS. If you are apply for UPSC exams, then you should have a degree from a recognized institute/university or an equivalent qualification. Also a candidate should be between 21 and 30 years. The Apllication form are availiable in various Post Offices, So please get it form your nearest post offices. Pattern of Examination - The Cvil services examination are consist of two stages - 1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination. 2. Civil Services Main Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts. there is following criteria to appear in the UPSC exam: 1. passed in Graduation with any subject. 2. your age should be less than equal to 30 years for general category student; less than equal to 35 years for OBC student and less than equal to 37 years for SC/ ST student. Best of luck |

Eligibility to appear in UPSC exam:- 1.The candidate must have complete the graduation at least from a recognized university. 2.The candidate should not have any pending backlogs during graduation. Age eligibility:- 1.The age should be in between 21-30 years. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years. These are the minimum criteria you have to fulfill to appear in UPSC exam.. All the best. |
