CLAT is stands for Common Law Admission Test .This exam is conducted for admission for LLB & LLM course .

If you have completed 12th standard from any stream with above 50% marks then you are eligible to attend in CLAT exam for admission in Under graduate course .If you want to apply for Post graduate course , then you must have BL or LLB degree with above 55% marks .

The candidate age should not be more than 20 Years for under graduate course .

If you passed 10+2 with above 50% marks, then you are eligible for CLAT Entrance Exam.

CLAT Details:-

CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test and this exam is conducted by fourteen national law universities. One of the most popular law entrance exam which is given by thousands of students every year for pursuing both LLB and LLM. To study in any one of the fourteen participating law universities then you need to have CLAT scores at hand.

Educational Qualification:-

General and OBC candidates:- 50% of marks at 10+2 level
SC/ST and PWD candidates:- 45% of marks at 10+2 level

Final year students can also appear for this exam and the ones awaiting results but by the time the interview session commences you need to have the marksheets to produce.

Age Limit:-

General and OBC candidates:- 20 years
SC/ST and PWD candidates:- 22 years

Exam Pattern:-

• Section I consists of questions related to English including Comprehension of 40 marks
• Section II comprises of questions related to General Knowledge/ Current Affairs comprising 50 marks
• Section III includes Elementary Mathematics, which tests the Numerical ability of the applicant of 20 marks.
• Section IV is of Legal Aptitude/Legal Awareness, which gives 45 marks
• Section V consists Logical Reasoning Questions of 45 marks

CLAT Common Law Admission Test

The CLAT test is in all India entrance examination conducted on rotation by 14 National Law Universities for admissions to their under graduate and post graduate degree programmes(L.L.B & L.L.M).

Eligibility for Under Graduate Courses:

Candidate age should be below 20 years.

Eligibility for Post-Graduate courses:

Candidates who are appearing or have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and who are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test.

5.Logical Reasoning

Duration: 2 hrs.

Note: Negative marking wherein 0.25 mark will be deducted for each of the wrong answers to multiple choice questions.


Exam Pattern for Post-Graduate Programme:

1.Long Essay Type Descriptive Questions(Covering Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence)

2.Multiple-Choice Questions(Covering all compulsory law subjects prescribed by the BCI for Under Graduate course except Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence)

Note: Negative Marking wherein 0.25 mark will be deducted for each of the wrong answers to multiple choice questions.

Duration: 2 hrs
