WHICH ONE IS BETTER .NET AND JAVA In today's time .net and java have both equal importance, because both are used to create software's which are used widely now a days and also in future... -> .Net is basically a framework which runs in top Microsoft Windows. Without .Net library files you cannot run many software's which runs in Microsoft Windows. -> Java is object oriented language which platform independent and can run in any operating system. -> If you are planning to study and be strong in either one this, then my advice to you will be go for Java and study the language and be strong in the basics. -> If you are strong with java then for sure you can easily learn .Net in future. -> To learn java you can do the certification course offered by Sun microsystem which is now bought by ORACLE i.e SCJP ( Sun Certified Java Programmer ). -> SCJP helps you to prepare yourself with the basics of Java and to be strong in it.. So just go for this course and clear the exam to be a certified Java Programmer... -> If you can clear this course then you can add it your resume which adds some extra points.. |

Re: Which one is better between .NET and Java?
.NET & JAVA Both .NET and Java have different scopes in there different field. So, it is not right to choose one of them. - Java is object oriented language which platform independent and can run in any operating system. - .Net is basically a framework which runs in top Microsoft Windows. Without .Net library files you cannot run many software's which runs in Microsoft Windows. - If you are planning to study and be strong in either one this, then my advice to you will be go for Java and study the language and be strong in the basics. - If you are strong with java then for sure you can easily learn .Net in future. - To learn java you can do the certification course offered by Sun microsystem which is now bought by ORACLE i.e SCJP ( Sun Certified Java Programmer ). - SCJP helps you to prepare yourself with the basics of Java and to be strong in it.. So just go for this course and clear the exam to be a certified Java Programmer. |

java is a very simple,secure,portable,object-oriented,robust language and there are many scope for java programmer.java also have a property called applet.by the help of applets we can transmit the program over internet and its automatically execute by the java compatible web browser.so this is a very special and useful property of java. .NET is used for web devoloping.. |

Re: Which one is better between .NET and Java?
.net and java both are important and easy.....they are very useful..
it would be better to learn java before .net..if you are perfect in java then only 30% of effort is required to learn .net.... my suggestion is to go for java at first and later to .net.... |

Re: Which one is better between .NET and Java?
My dear friend ..........
today java is the best language in the world. it provide the simplicity that you can easily learn it, it laso provide the characteristics of the OOP. it is a platform independent language. a byte code is generated when you compile your source code. you can run this byte code on any plate form. java also provide the applets and GUI in which user can make the frames. so you choose the java language, .net is no very popular and java has occupied all the companies. best of luck. |

Re: Which one is better between .NET and Java?
Both .net and java are software programing languages
generally , when comes to the salary hiring , there will be more hire for java domain persons than .net this is because , the .net project rate will be more lesser than java projects so, it is better to choose java |

Re: Which one is better between .NET and Java?
They are both in high demand and they will both be around for a long long time. You must realize that there are developers today that make their living maintaining COBOL green screen applications.
The Microsoft .NET framework and Sun Java virtual machine are very similar in many ways. Java is compiled into bytecode which is then "Just in time" compiled into machine specific instructions by the Java runtime. The Microsoft .NET framework supports any language that implements the CLS (Common Language Specification). Languages include vb.net, c#, f#, Cobol.NET, J# (Microsoft's implementation of the Java language). The source code is compiled into MSIL much like java compiles to bytecode and is Just in time (JIT) compiled into machine specific instructions by the CLR (common language runtime). It's true that Java is cross platform, however, there are projects that have successfully ported most if not all aspects of .NET framework class library (see the mono project). Truth be told if you can there are very few differences between the syntax of Java and C#. I hope this helps. http://www.twitter.com/budbjames http://www.bytepushers.com/blog |

.NET and Java cannot be compared. They both are equal in different parts of computer field.
.NET plays a main role in creating websites and they are used very much by web designers. Java plays a main role in creation of windows applications. This is a programming language used by most people in IT field. |

Re: Which one is better between .NET and Java?
Both Java and .net are important in their own ways.
By using java we can create a lot of applications and further by using advanced java we can create android mobile apps which are really famous these days. On the other hand .net helps us in creating well structured and designed websites and it has a lot of other benefits. |

Re: Which one is better between .NET and Java?
Dear user
Both the courses have their own importance. But now a days java has deteriorated its scope. .NET is leading now a days. But it depends on your choice and your skills. You should not chose what you are good at . Good luck |
