Paralegal or Bachelors in Law, which is better to study for further studying Law in Canada? Advantages of studying Paralegal course?

My son is going to complete 12th Grade in CBSE Board. He wish to study Law in Canada. What is the procedure? Should he join a paralegal course in Diploma of 2 years or should he do a Bachelor Degree of 4 years before studying Law over there? What is the advantage of studying Paralegal? Which is better before studying Law?
