Physical fitness required to become a Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police?
Respected Sir, I want to apply for Sub-Inspector post in Delhi Police. I would like to know that what physical fitness required for achieving such post in Delhi Police. Can you please let me know about the physical fitness?

Physical endurance Test (PET) is conducted for recruitment of Sub-Inspector post in Delhi police.
Physical Standards for men: General – Height: 170 cm, Chest (Unexpanded): 80 cm, Chest (Expanded): 85 cm. For Hill areas– Height: 165 cm, Chest (Unexpanded): 80 cm, Chest (Expanded): 85 cm. For scheduled tribes– Height: 162.5 cm, Chest (Unexpanded): 77 cm, Chest (Expanded): 82 cm. Physical Standards for Women: General – Height: 157 cm For Hill areas– Height: 155 cm. For Scheduled Tribes– Height: 154 cm Tasks that need to be completed - a) For Male candidates- 100 meters race in 16 seconds 1.6 Km race in 6.5 minutes Long Jump: 3.65 metres in 3 chances High Jump: 1.2 metres in 3 chances Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chances b) For Female candidates- 100 metres race in 18 seconds 800 metres race in 4 minutes Long Jump: 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances High Jump: 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances Apart from this there will be a medical test which you need to qualify. |
