Hello, I will take Sociology as an Optional subject in UPSC exam. I would like to know that is it possible for me to give UPSC Mains in Assamese medium? I belongs to Assamese medium and did my overall academics in this language.

Yes, you are eligible to give UPSC Main in Assamese language.

UPSC conducts Civil Service Examination and examination is conducted for recruitment as an I.A.S, I.P.S, I.F.S Officer.

Candidates passed Preliminary examination are eligible to appear in examination in any language mentioned in 8th Schedule of the examination.

The three stages of examination are :-

Preliminary.

Mains.

Interview.
