hello,
The Civil services examination's question papers will be available in English and Hindi
languages only.

One can answer all the question papers, (except the language papers)
in any one of the languages included in the Eighth Schedule of the
Indian Constitution or in English.

These languages are;
Assamese
Bengali
Bodo
Dogri
Gujarati
Hindi
Kannada
Kashmiri
Konkani
Maithili
Malayalam
Manipuri
Marathi
Nepali
Oriya
Punjabi
Sanskrit
Santali
Sindhi
Tamil
Telugu
Urdu

You can write Upsc exams only in two languages Hindi and English.Here i am not talking about language papers They can be written in their respective language.other papers you have to Give in Hindi or English Language.

You can write UPSC in any of the 22 languages mentioned in the 8th schedule of Indian Constitution. English + 22 Languages Mentioned in 8th Schedule of Constitution.

You can choose literature of assamese as an optional subject or any other subject as an optional. Do previous years' questions reappear in the UPSC civil service exam.

IAS aspirants can give the UPSC interview in English or any regional language mentioned in the 8th schedule of the Indian constitution irrespective of the medium of the written exam.
