My daughter was studying in 12th under CBSE board but she did not appear for any exam for 2017-18 session, now she need to take admission in 12th Gujarat State board. Is it possible?

No, it is not possible to switch to State Board from CBSE Board only for pursuing 12th standard. None of the schools offer direct admission to candidates in 12th standard. You have to pursue both 11th and 12th standard from the same school. So, I suggest you to pursue your 12th standard and appear in examinations from CBSE Board.

Yes, she can appear for Gujarat State Board for 12th standard only. Registration of a candidate in Gujarat Board will be done in 12th standard itself. Also, if you need, you can enroll yourself as a Private candidate in Gujarat Board.

It is not possible to take direct admission in 12th standard. Your daughter will have to take admission in 11th standard first and register for board examination of 12th under Gujarat State Education Board.

If she was studying in CBSE 12th then let her appear for next year exam of 12th. Going for GSEB will cause a loss of one academic year.
