IES exam is conducted By UPSC Government of India.

Every year it is having Exam once in a year.

Eligibility & age limits:-

Any Graduate Can write IES i.e Indian Engineering Services and For writing the only criteria

you must satisfy is you should be between 21 years of Age to 30 years of Age.

And how many times you can Write the IES. They are
It seems it is relaxed for reserved categories.....

And for OBC it is 7 times.

And for SC/ST it is 9 times.

But A Gen category can attempt only 4 times.


How to apply for IES ??

Check or Keep tracking upsc.gov.in site for Notification because this site has full information regarding all the upsc Exam

On surveying IES is having Notification period in the month of JAN-Feb.

you can apply next year and also after completing your graduation.

your age limit should be between 21 years and 30 years.

you can apply both online and offline.

you can buy the form offline worth rs.20/- from the post offices of your state.

and according to the eligibility criteria, you have to be in your final year or
must have completed your B.tech under any recognized university.
so you are not eligible this year......

Indian Engineering Service (IES) exam is conducted by UPSC in every year.
This is a high level exam.
# Eligibility Criteria :
1. A candidate should have a degree in engineering in the any one of the given branch Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical.
2. A final year student are also eligible for this exam.
# Age Criteria :
1. For general category the age should be between 21 to 30 years.
2. For OBC candidate the upper age relaxation is 3 years.
3. For SC/ST/PD candidate the upper age relaxation is 5 years.

About IES Examination -

To Appear In IES Examination, You Should Have A Degree In Engineering From A Recognised University Or Equivalent.


And To Appear In IES Examination, Your Age Should Between 21 To 30 Years.

The Upper Age Relaxation Is Applicable For SC/ST And OBC Candidates Only.

So, After Graduation, You Are Eligible To Apply For IES Examination.

For getting selected in the IES exam you must at first fulfill the eligibility criteria which is as follows:

Academic Eligibility: You must be a graduate in Engineering from a recognized university. Final year students can also apply.

Age Eligibility:
You need to be between 21 years to 30 years on the 1st August of the year of examination.

But as you are a 3rd year engineering student you are not eligible to appear in the IES exam.

Well since you are an IES exam aspirant, you would definitely wish to know when the IES exam notification comes out. UPSC conducts IES examination every year in the 1st/2nd Saturday of June, notification for which comes out in the 1st/2nd Saturday of January month.
