My sister stays in Gujrat and she hadnt studied in maharashtra. Now she wants to take admission in Maharashtra for engineering. what is the procedure, ELIGIBILITY and where do I get the application form for the same???

no students other than maharashtra board can give the mht-cet
you can get admission in mahrashtra medical or engineering college by aipmt or your 12 marks percentage.

and yes the forms are available in mid march in the schools only.

hi vishal,since your sister stays in gujrat so she will have her state of eligibility as gujrat,and she will be considered as outside maharastra student,and she will be hence left with limited number of seats.
so i want to give you a better advice,that is you let her give aieee and then you can apply for the same seats,with greater chance of getting good seat in good college.

there is a reservation of 15% seats in all engineering colleges of Maharashtra for students of other states....
ou can easily get one of them through aieee exam.......
during the counseling give preference to your desired college in Maharashtra and if no one has applied for it then you will get it very easily.......

prepare well for the exam......
you should also appear for common entrance exam of Gujarat.....they have good engineering colleges too......

no matter from which state you are...you can go for entrance exam..its open for all the states..for more information you can log on to

some seats are reserve for other state's candidate..so do prepration hard and go for it

either you should have a domicile certificate or appear for another exams such as aipmt to go in maharashtra college

she can take the admission in the maharastra college,but she can not give the exam of M-CET.
for the outsider there is 15% sheet is reserved and outsider will take admission only in that sheet.
but your selection will be based on the aieee examination,
so you have to write the exam of aieee,
and after getting required score you will take admission.

to appear for the MHT-CET 2010 and The facility of
Constitutional Reservation is not available for the
OMS candidates, Candidate should be an Indian National
and should have passed the HSC with minimum 50% marks....

when aieee exam will held next time

mh cet exam is only for the maharashtra students only........but you can get admission on the basis of the marks score in aieee exam and the 12th board exam.....

i am very sorry to inform you that you can not take admission in the maharastra college through the m-cet,
however you can take admission through the aieee,for which 15 % sheet is for all india student.

Yes your sister can get admission but for that she will have to score an outstanding marks because for the outer state student there is reservation of 15% seats in all engineering colleges of Maharashtra.

So she has to come in between that 15 % ,then only she can take admission to the Maharashtra colleges.

Yes it is possible .Read the below details to obtain one.

OMS candidates can purchase the application form from the 8 divisional authority.

The cost of the Application Form along with the three information brochures of
MHT-CET-2011 and Examination fee is Rs.700/-

The Entrance Test will be held on Thursday, 12th May 2011.
Application forms are available form 23/3/2011 to 31/3/2011
