SBI Clerk Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

>> SBI Clerk Exam can be given if you have passed the higher secondary examination or its equivalent with not less than 60 percent of marks.

>> Those with diploma degree can also apply provided its a regular one whose duration is not less than two years. 60% of marks is required in this case as well.

>> If you are applying after completing graduation then only pass marks would do since the minimum marks to obtain has not been mentioned. You can do your graduation in any discipline you want.

>> Your age should not be less than 18 years when applying for this exam. Much the same way it should not be above 30 years for the general category candidates.

>> Age relaxation is applicable for the reserved category candidates only. It is 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for physically handicapped candidates.

>> Selection Procedure includes the following two stages:
  • Written Examination
  • Personal Interview

>> Mostly objective type questions comes for the written exam and they will be of twelfth standard. So if you are well accustomed to class 12 syllabus then you wont face much problem. For the exam you need to stress on the following sections:
  • General Awareness
  • General English
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning Ability
  • Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge

>> There will be five papers in all of 40 marks each and it is important to pass in all the papers. For every right answer you will get one mark but for every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted from the original score.

>> On qualifying in the written exam you will be called for the interview session depending on the vacancies available. You need to get minimum 40% marks to qualify. It is 35% in case of reserved category candidates.

>> Final selection will be dependent on the marks obtained by you in both the written exam and personal interview session. A maximum of three people is generally called for one single post vacant. It is very important to be yourself and confidently answer all the question in the interview session. That will be the key to success.

If you want to get job of clerk in sbi bank then you should be 12th pass with 60% marks for general candidates. Reserve candidate should hold 55% marks in 12th or any degree with passing marks from any recognized university

Age should be between 18 to 28 years for general candidates. Relaxation for
obc/sc/st/pd/ex-serviceman in upper age.
