computer engg can join engineering wing of defense .engineers have many options in defence,,,,,,,,,,they have to clear ssb and join army,navy,airforce as a officer in rank of lieutenant

To join in Indian Army the most usual options to choose is to clear NDA exam which can be expanded as National Defense Academy exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission of India. For appearing in that exam just 12th std pass from a recognized board is enough. As you are a graduate i can show you another path. That is CDS exam. This exam is expanded as Combined Defense Service Examination. This examination is also conducted by Union Public Service commission of India. The age limit for appearing in this examination above 19 yrs and below 23yrs. On clearing this examination you can enter into the Indian Army as higher rank official itself. But for this you must be an Unmarried male candidate. Female candidates are not allowed.

After completed B.Tech you can join Indian Army..
For this you have to qualify the C.D.S exam..
C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
Candidate who pass the graduation in stream is eligible for this exam.

Yes computer engineer may also apply the indian army exam as defense.

For this the candidate have complete any graduation from recognised university.

Age criteria is 19 to 24 years.
The candidate should be a citizen of india.

Joining in Indian Army after B.Tech from Computer Branch is possible as you can write the CDS Exam

CDS - Combined Defence Academy

But as you have said that you are a 2 year student,you cannot apply for the exam for joining in Indian army as only final year candidates are eligible to apply for the CDS Exam.

For the CDS Exam girls are not eligible for the exam as regarding the Martial Status needed for the exam.Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for the CDS Exam

Apart from that the candidate need to be a citizen of India.The age limit for joining in Indian Army is that the candidate must have 21-24 years.

Education qualification needed for the CDS exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree from a recognized university.

There are many scopes for the girls to join Indian Army after graduation.
For this you need to give CDS (combined defense service exam)which is a common test for army/navy/air force.its is uesd to held twice in year(CDS I & CDS II)

The scope for an Engineer in INDIAN ARMY is great and you will join the INDIAN ARMY in engineers Regiment.

You will get to know new technologies and it will be full of adventure.

To get into Army you can go through CDS or through TGC entry.

CDS Examination Eligiblity : CDS Stands for Combined Defense Services and this examination is also conducted by UPSC Twice in a year, To apply for CDS Examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course form a recognised board. To apply for CDS Examination, your age should between 19 to 25 years and eligible candidates may apply for these Academy as per the eligibility : IMA/OTA/NAVAL/AIR-FORCE Academy.

* For IMA/OTA : You have to complete your Graduation in any discipline form a recognised Board.
* For Naval and Air Force : You have to complete your Engineering degree or B.sc with Maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects.


UES (University Entry Scheme) :

This entry is for the Engineering degree candidates and They will come to your college in your third Year.

Your age must be between 18 to 28 Years. The selection are based on Campus interview and SSB interview.


FOR TGC(TECHNICAL GRADUATE COURSE):-

In this Entry scheme you have to fill one application form which is made available on the Official website of INDIAN ARMY or DEFENCE FORCES.When they are out Fill the Form and send them to the Address specified or fill it online on the website.

The age which is specified is upto 27 years.
