Should I do B.Sc or B.Tech after 3 years of Diploma in Civil Engineering?

I have completed 3 years Diploma course in Civil Engineering after completing my Higher Secondary. Now, can I do B.Sc? Or, should I go for B.Tech via lateral entry route scheme? Which would be better?

Doing B.tech through lateral entry will be better for diploma students. As both courses are technology related. But B.sc course is all about science and its application which will not connect to diploma.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
