i am a student of electronics and instrumentation presently in my 6th semester......iam probably in a dilema whether to go for a gate coaching or for an cat coaching......if sm1 could clarify my doubt i would be thankful to him......which is a better option for me and why?

GATE or CAT

It is a common dilemma in an engineering student's life whether to go for M.Tech or MBA..

6th semester is a stage where it becomes extremely important for you to choose a path and stick to it or else it is going to be a really difficult job for you to make out things better in your near future..

Its a really tough decision to make..I completely agree but once you make your decision it is more important not to think back on what you could have done and go on with what you have decided..

Its completely upto you and solely dependent on your own interests..

If you think that you have some real interest in your technical stream and want to go deeper into your knowledge of technicalities then you can pursue M.Tech and go for GATE preparations..

In case you think that technical knowledge and B.Tech is not your cup of tea and you want to go for management then you might want to consider going in for MBA and start your preparations for CAT..

The final decision will be completely up to you..

See both exams are different. After passing the both exams you can get master degree from both. After passing the CAT exam you get chance for MBA and after GATE you will get chance in M.Tech. Format of these two exams are different.

Form outside you can not say any of these exams are tough or easy. Both are tough and both are easy at the point of view of the candidate. If a candidate get well prepared in the examination then it would be easy one to the candidate and if not then it will be very tough to the candidate.

I am working in a Electronics core company L&T IES..i am B.tech(ECE) in 2007-2011 batch.....now will I go for MBA or M.Tech?

-->as both are the entrance tests to get admission in masters degree.

* GATE is an entrance exam if you want to do M.tech.this exam is conducted by IIT.If you clear this exam then all the gates will be open for you.you can get the admission in one of the best IIT based institutes

*CAT is also a masters level entrance exam.you can get the admission in MBA if you clear the CAT test.so,if you are interested in business side then definitely go for MBA otherwise go for M.TECH

I am a second year B.tech student of food technology(kolkata).I am not sure of the scope for good jobs(with high pay scale) in our field.So,if any1 can please suggest should i go for mba or do M.tech for a brighter career?thank you
