Re: Should I go for IES/PSU after doing B.Tech(ECE)?
Dear Friend
On an average PSUs' offer salary package at par or more in comparison to private firms. So, the craze for PSU and IES is much more than private sector job and so the competition to get job in PSUs is very high. Therefore, if you are not technically sound, it is very difficult to crack the written test of the recruitment. You are required to work hard to prepare for the exam. It can't be said exactly that how much time is required to crack some exam because the ability to grasp knowledge and prior knowledge are different for different student. Whatever time you have, you just prepare for the exams which you want to crack and appear the exam without expecting your results. IES exam is bit tougher than PSU exams. If you are interested in MBA then you should rather go for MBA. If you have less than one year time and you are thinking about getting a government job then I would recommend you not to waste your time to prepare for these exams. In that case you should prepare well for MBA entrance exams so that you can get admission in some good college. |

Re: Should I go for IES/PSU after doing B.Tech(ECE)?
dear friend,
Both the fields are good.. both has higher future prospect.. Now it depends upon your personal interest.. You should go for a field , in which you have more interest.. in which field you can excel yourself.. If you have interest in core technical jobs, then you can go for PSU sectors.. To get a job in those PSU's you have to first appear in a written test exam.. After qualifying in the test, you have to go through the interview.... Where they will ask you technical questions.. So, if you want to get a job in core field then you must have a vast knowledge in technical papers.. If you have interest in doing administrative jobs then you can go for IES exam.. IES exam is a civil service exam , which is conducted by UPSC every year.. To crack the exam you have to prepare yourself very well. You can also take coaching classes to take preparation in IES exam.. Now it is depends upon you in which field you want to make you future career.. All the best.. |

hello dear
as you are not technically strong. then it will be better to do MBA course. to crack PSU/IES exam very good technical sound is essentially required. otherwise you can't clear the exam. as it is a competitive exam. so it will be difficult for you. all the best.......... |
