What is the pay scale of a beginner in software engineering?

if from reputed college, 30-35,000. or else 15-20,000.

Starting scale of salary depends upon the company your going to join.

Now if we compare the salaries of Tech Mahindra and Infosys the starting pay scale will be different,for a fresher it will be around 15,000-20,000 in Infosys and for the developing companies it will be lesser than that.So, it all depends upon the company you want to join.

Every company has its different pay package depending upon the other facilities like perks & incentives.But as a beginner you can easily get Rs.25,000 to Rs.30,000 monthly.
You can easily get further a handsome package of Rs.4 lac to 5 lac package annually after gained a good experience.

25000 is starting salary as a trainee in most of the company

it depends on the company if it is cts starting salary 25000.

There is no fixed salary in the software field it vary from company to company and also on experience...you cannot predict it..
as many people in fresher level get around 22k in MNC and even with experience people get same in small scale companies....so you cannot predict it like government jobs........

Infosys - 3.25 Lakhs p.a
CTS - 3.05 Lakhs p.a
Wipro - 2.75 Lakhs p.a, after first 3 months, when they pay 15k p.m

starting package depends on company profile there are many company which are offering nearly 3 + lac package for software engineers but still other companies are offering 2+ package also so it totally depends on company .

don't worry about pay scale because it depends on you education qualification your college and its infrastructure.

it also depends on
1.which type of company it is
2.which type of college you are in

as i am giving you example

if the infosys company comes to IIT it will give minimum package of 6-7 lacks per annum
but if the same infosys comes to any low graded college then package goes to low..

normally starting package is 14 -24 thousand per month in normal college
25-75 thousand per month in IIT/NIT
2nd good thing is that in software your salary increases very fast way ..
after 3-4 year your salary may be reach 12lacs annually

But if you get placed in a good company you will get around 30,000 in the starting.But competition will be more to get into those companies.All the best

for software engineers in top IT companies like wipro,infosys,tcs will get above 25k...........if they got job in small companies means they will get above 15k......
