Statistics or Economics, which is to study in BCom to further pursue CFA course?

Hi everyone, I am interested to study BCom in Economics course. But my aim is to do CFA course. So, my brother told me to do BCom course in Statistics. I would like to know that between these two subjects, which one I should choose?

For CFA if you take stats it will help you with statistics portion of the exam and if you take economics it will help through quantitive portion of exam. so , it depends on you .
Depending on weights if one is familiar with Accountancy or Economics prior to taking up the exam, it would be of help but this is purely on weightage.
I would recommend Economics as my first option and second option would be Statistics.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
