I completed my B.E in civil engg .... I want t know the steps to get into air force ... So wil u please suggest what exams i hav t write .....

## As you have completed B.TECH CIVIL ENGINEERING,you can join in Indian Airforce by clearing CDS examination
## CDS(Combined Defence Services) examination is conducted by UPSC to recruit the candidates under Indian AirForce Academy,Indian Navy Academy,Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy
## Minimum educational qualification required to apply for IMA is graduate degree & for INA is degree in engineering & for IAF is degree(with mathematics,physics at 10+2 level)/engineering degree
## Age limit to apply for IMA is 19-24 years & for INA is 19-22 years & for IAF is 19-23 years and unmarried male candidates only are eligible to apply
## And the candidate must be physically & medically fit as per Defence regulations

Its good that you have completed you have completed your bachelor's degree in civil engineering and now you are interested in joining Indian Air Force.

There are two entrance exam at this level that can give opportunity to join the Air force .
1.Combined defense services

2.Air Force Common Admission Test.

First of all discussing about the Combined defense services.

It is conducted twice every year by the UPSC.It is held for the four different academies :

>>Indian Military academy

>>Indian Naval academy

>>Officer's Training academy

>>Air Force academy

For the Indian Air force ,you must have done your bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with mathematics and physics at 10+2 level as compulsory subjects .

The age limit is 19-23 years.Both unmarried male and female candidates can apply for the exam.

Now coming to the AFCAT exam:

This entrance exam is conducted for the three branches :

1.Flying branch

2.Ground Duty Branch

3.Technical branch

Being a civil engineer,the best option for you is to go for the Technical branch.

The age limit is 18-28 years.

Height :157.5cms with correlated weight.

As you have completed B.E. in Civil Engineering , you can join the Air Force through the Combined Defense Services Examination.

The Combined Defense Services Exam is conducted every year twice by the Union Public service Commission.

Through the CDS Exam , the candidates can join the following wings :

1) Indian Military Academy

2) Naval Academy

3) Indian Air Force Academy

4) Officer`s Training Academy

as you are a graduate from engineering , you are eligible for air force by cracking cds,

CDS stands for COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES , it is conducted by upsc twice a year,

cds is conducted for enter in following wings :

Indian air force
indian navy
indian military academy
officer's training academy

eligibility for cds :

INDIAN AIR FORCE :
must be graduate from a recognized college
must have studied physics,maths in graduation
age limit is 19-23 years

INDIAN NAVY :
must be graduate from a recognized college
must have studied physics,maths in graduation
age limit is 19-22 years

INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY :
must be graduate from a recognized college
any stream student is allowed for it
age limit is 19-24 years

OFFICER'S TRAINING ACADEMY :
must be graduate from a recognized college
any stream student allowed for it
age limit is 19-25 years

so as you have completed your engineering and qualify the above eligibility then you are eligible for entry in air force through cds,

CDS stands for Combined Defense Service

Union Public Service Commission is going to conducts Combined Defence Services Examination for recruitment of various vacancies under Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy.

Hi,

Yes you can also join Indian Air force after the Graduation. After the Graduation you are eligible for the CDS exam. By the CDS exam you can join Indian Air force OR you can also join Indian Air force by the AFCAT exam. AFCAT exam is only for the Indian Air force. So from the both the ways you can join Indian Air force

AFCAT – Air force Common Admission Test

Education – For this the candidates have to clear Graduation in any discipline from the recognized college.

Age Limit – 19-23 years

Examination Syllabus

** General Awareness
** General English
** Quantitative Aptitude Test
** Reasoning Ability

Duration – 150 Minutes

CDSE – Combined Defence Service Commission

From this exam also you can join Indian Air force. This exam is conducted by the UPSC. This exam is conducted two times in a year. The candidates in the Indian Air force find the many branches like

** Ground Duty
** Flying Branch
** Technical Branch

Dear There,

As you have mentioned you have completed B.E. in civil engineering and want to join Indian Air Force then you have to appear in CDS examinations conducted by the UPSC twice every year.Passed candidates are recruited in the four wings of Indian Defense.

The four Wings are as follows:

i) Indian Military Academy

ii) Indian Naval Academy

iii) Indian Air Force Academy

iv) Officer's Training Academy

You have asked for Air Force so I am going to provide you the details for Air Force only.

The eligibility Criteria for CDS (Air Force) are:

* Candidates completed Bachelor's with science stream and Physics , Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized college/university.

* Final year Graduation candidates are also eligible for the exam.

* Age must be in between 19-24 yrs

* Citizenship - Indian OR,

A subject of Nepal/Bhutan

* Sex - Male / Female

* Candidates should be Physically and Mentally Fit.

The examination is conducted in three stages:

a) Written Test

b) Interview

c) Medical

Candidates must qualify these stages to join Indian Defense.Candidates with higher rank in merit list are recruited in Air Force Academy.
