Re: Which stream required to be joined in Indian Army after passing 10th?
You can start your career in army as a soldier after 10th class rather than a officer. and after clearing medical test and physical test you will assign to different department like clerical, medical, war-soldier etc department.
So, better you do your 12th class with subjects Physics and Mathematics. and appear for NDA. How to Apply Apply in response to advertisement in March/April & Oct./Nov. Age at the time of joining must be 161/2-19 years Commencement of Course each year start from January and July... Mode of selection
You can be post to high rank.If you are not interested in science stream in 12th class then you can choice any subject in 12th class and do graduation after that and apply for CDS. For CDS.. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy-Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.and for Indian Naval Academy you need to have a Degree in Engineering.similarly for Air Force Academy you need a Degree of Recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering. you have to be 19 half to 23 half years of age and must have passed graduation. Candidates who are studying in the final year Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply but they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination to reach the Army HQ/Rtg. |

Hi Friend,
You are not recommended to opt for Army just after 10th, because lower devision jobs like- Cook, Soldier, Barber, Safai karamchari etc. are available. So, better first complete your +2 with Pure Science having subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as elective subjects. Then some good opportunities will be available there for you. Basically after completing your +2 there will be two opportunities for you to get there. NDA - National Defence Academy: Conducted by UPSC twice every year (http://upsc.gov.in) for entry into all three defence services. Its a All India Level Entrance. Written test is of 900 Marks - 300 MArks Mathematics of class 12 level and 600 Marks for General Aptitude Test. Notification are announced in Employment News every year. Eligibility for Army wings of NDA: Candidate must have passed +2 in any stream with at least 60% aggregate. But since entrance is completely based on pure-science it is tougher enough for a non-science candidate to crack the entrance. TES - Technical Entry Scheme, is a scheme of defence services in which academically bright students of +2 are provided opportunity to study B.Tech under Defence services in some of best Engineering colleges which are specially build for Army, Navy and Airforce candidates. Eligibility: Candidate must have passed 12th with PCM with at least 70% aggregate. Selection will be based on written test and Interview. Notification are announced in Employment News every year. .. with best regards. |
