BCA refers to Bachelor of Computer Application. In order to pursue the program from any of the recognized Institutions, candidate must have passed the +2 level of exam from a recognized board. The percentage criteria of Institutes varies from each other. However, one should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in order to be eligible for admission in most of the Institutions. There is no such compulsory subject required to be studied in the +2 level. Candidate from any academic background are eligible to pursue the course. However, one should have a keen interest in computers.

The Institutes offers BCA in the various specializations. Following are the list of some of them:

• Computer Graphics
• Programming Languages
• System Analyst
• Word Processing
• Animations
• Internet Technology.

BCA means Bachelors of Computer Application and the duration of course is 3 years and the course is divided into six semesters . In order to pursue this course , you have to finished your Higher Secondary Level examination , if you are completed 12th examination then you are eligible to apply for BCA course .

Eligibility Criteria ::

You must have a possessing the Intermediate with any discipline from a recognized Institution or recognized board and you must secure at least 60% marks in your intermediate examination and 55% marks for reserved categories . There is no such compulsory subjects required to apply for the BCA course , any stream candidate can apply for this course .

But some of institution are asking the Mathematics or Business Mathematics as subjects . If you are studied this subject then you are eligible to apply for BCA course in any college across the India . If you are studied these subjects then some top institutions won't give the admission to BCA course because some mathematics papers are involved in the BCA degree course that why they won't give admission .
