sir i wanna know the syllabus for ies for computer science stream

Hello,

Computer Science is not a subject in IES.
It has ECE, EE and ME.
If interested to know their syllabus, let me know and i will tell you the same.

I regret that you are not eligible to apply for IES exam being a Computer Science Engineer.

The examination is conducted by the UPSC,for the branches of Civil. Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

So there is no question of syllabus of CSE stream for IES exam.

My dear friend, in INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES there are no entrance test for computer science and information technology.
So you may go for other services regarding computer science.

dear friend, sorry to say that computer science stream is not included in IES.
but you can appear in this exam as an Electronics engineer, so you have to follow all the subjects of ECE stream.
If you want to join IES, then kindly follow the full syllabus of Electronics.

Computer Organization and Architecture: Machine instructions and addressing modes, ALU and data-path, CPU control design, Memory interface, I/O interface (Interrupt and DMA mode), Instruction pipelining, Cache and main memory, Secondary storage.
Programming and Data Structures: Programming in C; Functions, Recursion, Parameter passing, Scope, Binding; Abstract data types, Arrays, Stacks, Queues, Linked Lists, Trees, Binary search trees, Binary heaps.
Algorithms: Analysis, Asymptotic notation, Notions of space and time complexity, Worst and average case analysis; Design: Greedy approach, Dynamic programming, Divide-and-conquer; Tree and graph traversals, Connected components, Spanning trees, Shortest paths; Hashing, Sorting, Searching.
Compiler Design: Lexical analysis, Parsing, Syntax directed translation, Runtime environments, Intermediate and target code generation, Basics of code optimization.
Operating System: Processes, Threads, Inter-process communication, Concurrency, Synchronization, Deadlock, CPU scheduling, Memory management and virtual memory, File systems, I/O systems, Protection and security.
Databases: ER-model, Relational model (relational algebra, tuple calculus), Database design (integrity constraints, normal forms), Query languages (SQL), File structures (sequential files, indexing, B and B+ trees), Transactions and concurrency control.

Since you are a computer science student so you are not eligible for the IES examination. Since this examination is not for the Computer science student and the IT student.

Only the students of Electronics and communication, Electrical, Mechanical and civil engineering student are eligible for this exam.

So you may try for other exams as this exam is not for you.

the syllabus for ies is as follows:
COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
Theory of Computation: Regular languages and finite automata, Context free languages and Push-down automata, Recursively enumerable sets and Turing machines, Undecidability; NPcompleteness.
Digital Logic: Logic functions, Minimization, Design and synthesis of combinational and sequential circuits; Number representation and computer arithmetic (fixed and floating point).

Unfortunetly UPASC doesn't conduct IES exam inn cse subjet.It is only conducted in Mechanical,electrical nd ECE.but if u want to join IES the u hav to follow the syllabus of ECE.To get the the syllabus u go to the site given below

I m very sorry to let you know that there is no computer science stream in IES........if you want to give IES then you have to give from the following stteams ECE,EE,ME........if you want their syllsbus you can have it from the official website www.upsc.gov.in......

WHAT GOVT. OF INDIA THINKS????GOVT. IS NOT DOING ANYTHING.AND IT INDUSTRY GENERATING SO MUCH REVENUE FOR INDIA(NEARLY 10% of GDP ) ..AND IF WE,AS A CS AND I IT ENGINEER TO IMPROVE THE CONDITION OF THE COUNTRY(IRONY IS THAT BEING AN IT HUB(India) ,LAGS GOOD IT MANAGEMENT IN THE ADMINISTRATION.
THEY SHOULD REMOVE IES NAME AS COMPUTER AND IT ENGINEERS ARE MORE ELIGIBLE FOR THE UPLIFTMENT OF INDIA AND THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTING THEM ONLY.

WHY???A BIG QUESTION...

For your kind information, IES exams conducted by UPSC is only for Mechanical, ECE, EEE, civil. so IES doesn't include Computer Science. Sorry.

For your kind information that computer science and IT students are not eligible for the Indian Engineering services(IES).
The IES includes the branch as Electronics,mechanical,civil,electrical.

sorry to say that you are not eligible because it's only for the ME,ECE,EE,CIVIL.
if you have some knowledge about this fields then you can surely appear for this exam.

I am very sorry to say that in the exam of IES , there is no subject in the syllabus of IES related to computer science,so you have to choose subject from ECE, EE or mechanical.you can also choose subject like physics, math, chemistry.Therefore, i am unable to provide you the syllabus of cse for the exam of IES.
Note that your age should be less than equal to 30 year.

IES exam is conducted only for
1.Electrical engineers
2.Civil engineers
3.Mechanical engineers
4.Electronics Telecommunication engineers.

So,there's no exam conducted for CSE/IT or any other branch in Engineering.
