Hi, my age is currently 40 years. Am I eligible to study B.Ed course now? Is there any maximum age limitation? What is the minimum and maximum age limit for B.Ed offered by IGNOU? Which are the other universities offering B.Ed via distance mode where can I apply at this age?

The candidates who wish to apply for the B.Ed course must not be less than 21 years of age. There is no such relaxation for any reserved category such as SC / ST/OBC candidates.
There is no upper age limit.

No, there is no upper age limit to apply for B.Ed.
But I would like to suggest you not to pursue B.Ed at the age of 40 because it will be no use for you.
Because there is age limit for TET.

Eligibility criteria for B.Ed course via distance mode:-

Candidates should clear their graduation or post graduation in sciences/ social sciences/commerce / humanities with at least 50% marks.

Candidates who possess a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology with specialisation in science and mathematics and minimum 50% aggregate marks are eligible to apply for this course.

Age limit :-
There is no minimum or maximum age bar prescribed by IGNOU for B.Ed admissions.

Any age group candidates can apply for IGNOU admission in B.Ed .

IGNOU B.Ed eligibility criteria :-

The candidates should have passed graduation or post graduation in science/ social science / commerce and Humanities with at least 50% marks are also eligible to apply for B.Ed course.

B.Ed stands for Bachelor of Education. This is a teacher training course mandatory for teaching jobs in central and state government schools. There is no upper age limit to apply for B.Ed course.

Candidates who have done bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university with minimum of 50% marks can apply for B.Ed course. Universities like IGNOU, SMU, B.R Ambedkar University, Osmania University, Anna university etc offer this course in distance mode.
