Dear friend,

Those candidate who have passed Common Proficiency Test and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examination body constituted by law in India
or
an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and passed CPT may join the Professional Competence Course.

These exams are conducted twice every year generally on the first Sunday of the months of June and December.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts a student can make at the CA CPT examination.

CA CPT Syllabus 2012:-

No. of papers:- One

Duration:- Four years

Marks:- 200

Two Sections - Two hours - 100 Marks

Section A:- Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 Marks )
Section B: Mercantile Law ( 40 Marks )
Section C: General Economics ( 50 Marks )
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 Marks )

is it better to do ca with Bcom or after Bcom?

There is no restriction on the number of attempt a candidate can make fo CPT exam which is entrance exam of CA.

It is better to do CA with Bcom not after Bcom. Most of the CA students do Bcom along with CA. Doing Bcom after CA is not a good decision. CA is a professional course not graduation course.

No,There is no attempt limit for CA-CPT exams.They are conducted twice in a year ( June and December).

I WANT TO RECHECK MY COPY.I APPEAR JUNE 2012 CPT EXAM.BUT SIR RESULT WAS NOT AS PER MY EXPECTATION.HOW I CAN RECHECK MY COPY??

No any limit for CA CPT Attempts. But after 3 year means 5 attempt requirement of institute that renewal of your Registration for 500 only.

If you have passed class 12th in science stream, than to enrol for the CA course you have to appear in the CAA-CPT course.

First enrol for the CPT course- Eligibilty to enrol is just 12th pass

After enrolling for the CPT course , you need to give the CPT exams.

Next CPT exams would be held on 16th June 2013
Forms for this exam would be filled from 3rd April 2013 to 24th April 2013

In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below sections:
Fundamentals of accounting
Mercantile LAWS
General economics
Quantitative Aptitude

All the questions are asked in objective mode only

CA course stands for Chattered Accountant course which is a professional course it can be done after +2 .
CA course has three levels Foundation/ CPT , Inter/IPCC , Final .

CPT exam is conducted through ICAI , twice in a year in the month of june & Dec .

Subjects in cpt exam--- Accounting , Law , Mathematics , Economics.

there is a no limits for ca-cpt but some conditions will be apply that is if once registered for cpt we can write 3 years that means we can six attempts it will be held twice a year in june and december...in case not qualified six attempts we can again registered for ca-cpt.
