Hello sir, my self tanmay katara. I am in 12th standard and preparing for IIT-JEE ,my question is that after complete IIT in aeronautics is there any examination is held in india to select in nasa or join it? plz reply fastly sir!

There are no entrance exams in India for joining NASA. But once you complete course from IIT directly joining NASA may be difficult. You need to gain some experience before approaching for job.

Hello Tanmay Katara.

Its not possible to get into space organizations like NASA and ESA with B.Tech.
The first and the foremost thing is that you have to a American National in order to join NASA. They mostly give preference to people with good research work.

If you pursue your MS and PhD from top university in USA it will take five years to complete these programs. And by that time you will receive Green Card and there are chances for you to join NASA.

Hiii,
After complete you are egilible for the ISro exam and taking part of the NASA exam also but nasa has not provided direct freasher entry so gain exp. minimum one year through then switch to nasa..

There are a entrance exams in India for joining NASA.
after completing your IIT you have to give ISRO exam for NASA.

after selecting in this exam you may go for the interview.
after clearing all these steps you also join NASA.

U wanna join whaaaa........ NASA? And ur an Indian ?? hahahaha dude thats not gonna happen. To join NASA u need to be a citizen. To be a citizen u need to have a green card for 5 years. To get a green card u need a H1B (work visa). To get a work visa u need a job!!!. Why do people think it is that simple. Stay in india and join ISRO!!!!!! America has too many qualified and highly exceptional and intelligent engineers and researchers. They simply don't need internationals. Ur never gonna make it to NASA my friend. I don't wana discourage. I an just introducing u to the practical world.

is good At first you should try to get admission in IIT for areonautical course then ,
you can get master degree from Abroad.
then you will get chance after your well performance. then you can surely apply for NASA.

I'm Jananee from India. I'm doing my higher secondary studies here. My dream, my passion, my world and my everything is to become an intelligent astronaut at the NASA.
I'm aiming for this, since I was 5yrs old. But I don't have enough facilities like kids basic astronautic classes or anything else. But I'm sure that, if I learn, I'll achieve.What help I need from you is,
please direct me as to, what I must do after my higher secondary studies? Please do me this favour. I think there are only a few persons on the earth to help me and you'll be one among them. When I become

If you go to www.nasa.gov, it will just point you into that web site.

Note - it is a HUGE bureaucracy and often they'll turn down your resume with no explanation. You are far better off if you are located physically close to one of the NASA centers and even better off if you know someone.

Of course working for one of the major vendors (Lockheed, Boeing etc) couldn't hurt either.

Its better to know that NASA is not a small thing. There is no exam held to join NASA. If you want to join NASA its better to complete your bachelor degree in aerospace or aeronautical from anyone IIT'S and then gain some experience which is very very important. Otherwise go abroad for MS and then there may be some chance to get into the NASA.
