Re: Is there any physical qualification needed for IAS
IAS - Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer, one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
There is no physical requirement needed for IAS which s absolutely needed for PS. Apart from this regarding eligibility criteria, the candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. Re: Is there any physical qualification needed for IAS
Hi all,
I have my left forefoot amputated in surgery. But I am not 40% disabled so cannot claim reservation. I want to know if this much orthopaedic disability will cause problem in medical fitness for non-technical posts (ias, ifs, irs etc) I can walk brisk, run at moderate pace (not very fast) also. What problems may I face ? |

Re: Is there any physical qualification needed for IAS
I have my left forefoot amputated in surgery. But the extent of amputation is not much to warrant reservation under PH category (min40% is considered fit for reservation, my case not fit in this criteria). Even if I had filled form as PH, they would have later rejected.
Do I have chance to face any medical rejection in non-technical posts ? I know IPS, and other technical services I won't be fit for. In IAS, IRS, IAAS or other non-technical post, I hope not to face any difficulty due to this medical condition. I can walk properly, brisk walk, run at gentle pace (not very fast). Will I face any physical fitness difficulty for IAS,IRS< etc non-technical posts ? |
