Hi, I have completed my 3 years full time Diploma course in Accountancy. Are there job roles available for me in Income Tax Department of India? If yes, then which are the posts available and how to apply for those? What would be the pay scale for those posts in Income Tax Department?

Being a diploma holder you can apply for only three posts in income tax department:

1) M.T.S (Multi Tasking Staff)
2) Stenographer
3) Clerk

Rest all other posts require minimum a bachelors degree.

Pay-scale for M.T.S:
Rs 5,200/- to 20,200/- Plus Grade Pay Rs 1,800/-.

Pay Scale for Clerk:
Rs-5,200/- to 20,200/- Plus Grade Pay Rs 1,800/-.

Pay Scale for Stenographer:
Rs 5,200/- to 20,200/- Plus Grade Pay Rs 2,400/-.

Steps to be followed to apply for these posts:

1) Log in to the official website of Income Tax Department.

2) On the home page, find out "IT Department Recruitment 2019" and then click on it.

3) Fill up the asked information in prescribed application form.

4) After entering all the compulsory details, upload your passport size photograph, signature and necessary documents in the registration form.

5) Verify and finally press submit button.
