My daughter studying in 12th std plans to go for environmental engineering or environmental science graduation. How can she proceeds with? Her school is in UP area. Is there environmental engg in any IIT?

every course at iit is the best.....it provides the best faculty and best equipments.........
so go for it.....it must be easy for her as it not in so demand than other fields.....but still rank should be within 10000......

eligibility: b.tech from any background prefably b.tech(cilvil) with atleast 60 percent.selection is through valid gate score .

your daughter can also do b.tech+m.tech(civil+enviromental engineering)dual programe,by cracking IIT-JEE 2010.

Environmental engineering is a postgraduate course and is a part of Civil Engineering. So first your daughter will have to clear IIT JEE and then enroll for Civil Engineering.

Later after her B tech she can apply for postgraduate courses in IITs.

yes IIT chenai provide the course which you want but for that you have work very hard as only 1 college provide that course and the competition become more and more.....so try to score under 1000 rank........

Dear Friend

In all the colleges of IIT-JEE, ISM Dhanbad is the only college that conduct
B.Tech. course in Environmental Engineering.

As you mentioned that you are already undergoing some UG course so I don't
think you would be capable of getting admission in any of the IITs because
for that you will have to appear IIT-JEE entrance test.

As per the eligibility criteria of IIT-JEE, one can appear the entrance exam
only in the year of passing 12th board and just the next year.
i.e. Only two possible attempts one during 12th and other is just next one.

But in M.Tech Programme there is environmental engg.
