this is is tricky question

trick behind the question is that they are reversing the digits in question

lets see 137 is reversed to 731
276 is reversed to 627

so 435 will be reversed to 534

therefor answer to this question is 534

if 137+276=435, then 731+672=1425

Analysis:

137
+276
_______
413
if you add 2 to both 1st and 2nd digit number i.e., 1+2=3 and 3+2=5, then it becomes 35, i.e., 435.
Similarly,
731
+672
________
1403
Now, add 2 to both 1st and 2nd digit, 0+2=2, 3+2=5
then it becomes 1425.

Dear friend
if 137+276=435
then
731+672=534
You know why
just see that first question isreversed and obviously the answer will definitely be in reverse order.
just use your logic. This is my opinion and understanding because
you didn't given any option.
With best wishes
good day

Default A tricky aptitude question

2.If 137+276=435 how much is 731+672?
(A) 534 (B) 1403 (C) 1623 (D)1513

Hint:-]
when we add 7 and 6(last digits of given numbers) we get 13 in decimal notation, 3 being the last digit. However, in the answer it is 5. A difference of 2 gives us the hint that octal notation is being used here. After verifying the given data, we can easily find answer to the B 1403.

explain: decimal ------ octal
137 ------ 95
+ 276 ------ 190
---------------------------------------
285
convert 285(which is in decimal) into octal we get 435.

decimal ------ octal
731 ------ 1333
+ 672 ------ 1240
---------------------------------------
2573
convert 2573(which is in octal) into decimal we get 1403.

Add the first digits of the two numbers and increase it by unity, same for the third digit. For the second digit, add the two digits and increment the result by 2. It must be noted that if the addition of the two digits roll up to a two digit number, add the two digits of the corresponding number and perform the operations.

Hence the result is:

534

ANS:- From the given question it should be clear that atleast it should be 1 10's and 1 20's present. and also the 10's should be always the odd number.

optimal solution is 10 20 230
* * *
1 11 230
3 10 230

2 1 230
