Re: University offering LLB correspondence in Delhi?
Although there are few universities in Delhi and around India that do offer correspondence LLB degree but none of these degrees are accepted by the Bar Council of India. In India if you want to practice in court then it is important that you are registered with the Bar Council of India.
However since Bar Council of India does not recognize any correspondence degree, you are not gonna get the membership. What this essentially means is that with the correspondence degree, you can not practice in the court as lawyer. Therefore you should forget about doing LLB through correspondence. You basically have two options. BA LLB (5 years) LLB (3 years) There is no difference between the two degree accept the fact that BA LLB is 5 years long. This is because LLB is taken after completing graduation while BA LLB includes a graduation course to shorten the procedure to obtain law degree in 5 years instead of 6 years. Instead of completing graduation first as required for LLB, you can take admission for BA LLB right after completing 12th standard. BA LLB Eligibility 1. You must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board. 2. At least 50 percent marks in 12th standard. 3. SC/ST candidates need 45 percent marks. 4. The age limit is 20 years. 5. Age Limit for SC/ST is 22 years. LLB 1. You must have graduation degree to apply for LLB. 2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation. 3. 40 percent marks are required for SC/ST. 4. The age limit is 30 years to apply for LLB. 5. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST. |
