UPSC Civil Service Preliminary Exam was held on 23rd May that means even 1 Months has also not been completed, so how can you expect result to be announced so soon.

However, result will be announced in official Website of UPSC ( http://www.upsc.gov.in ) and also will be published in Employment News.

UPSC Civil Service Pre Exam was dated on 23rd May that means even 1 Months has only remains, so not to worry result will be announced so soon.

I think we can expect 210 as a cutoff for this year. I mean 210 seems the safest for considering the cutoff including Optional and General Studies.

If you are talking about Civil Service Aptitude Test then No Idea about it, it is also new for us to Analyse. But its not for this year it has been scheduled to implement from 2011.

Yeah I am sure its for 2011.

i want to ask a simple question.
what is the main function democracy in India, govt. don't use to ask its people,before implementing any thing like amplitude test replace the existing prelim? what about those peoples who r preparing their self's from last three or four year for this exams? and what about those students who belongs to backward area and don't have any facility to increase their amplitude capacity according to current schedule of ups c?

its better if there no nagetive marking!..oops........

Yeah, I does'nt remember the exact date but 100% sure last year Preliminary result were out the 1st week of August (Probably 4th Aug, however not sure).

So, this year also we can expect the result either in the last week of July or 1st of August.

Normally, The CSE priliminary Examination results are published within 60 to 70 da after the commencement of the Examination. So do check the UPSC official website :

last year it may have 27 augest. this year it may be come on second weak of augest.

This is a world of competition. Day by day competition is increasing and due to which examinees are performing the best they can do. So, it is difficult to calculate the exact cutoff. Whatever you have done, has been done. Now it's UPSC's turn to evaluate you. The selection depends upon the no. of requirement. On the basis of total available seat, results of prelims are declared. ie. It doesn't matter how much you scored, the thing that matters is how many people scored more than you.
Just wait for the results.

Friend I think that you can definitly clear the pre if you have done better in Gs. AS this time its the GS going to play crucila role. The cutoff in GS Is going to be very low somewhere around 35%.

35 with out negative is good after so much of hard work which isnt sufficient at all.
