Civil services are one of the most prestigious services of our country. Every year the exam is conducted for the posts of IAS, IFS, and IRS etc by the Union Public Service Commission. The exam is held in two stages. The first stage is a prelim which consists of two papers-one general studies and one optional paper. Those who clear the prelims can sit for the mains. Students have to take two optional papers for the mains. Two papers are there for each subject. One of the subjects is Agriculture. The pattern of the paper II of Agriculture is given here.

The examination of Agriculture is of three hours time duration with maximum marks of 300. The questions are all conventional types. There are two sections in the question paper. Eight questions in all are there, but students have to answer only five. All the questions carry 60 marks each. The questions can carry sub sections as in the total marks can be divided in smaller questions. Questions 1 and 5 are compulsory. Three more questions are to be answered taking at least one question each from both the sections. Questions are given both in English and Hindi.
