Re: What is the age limit for joining government colleges as a teacher?
The maximum age limit to join a government college as a teacher should not exceed 45 years.
You are eligible to join after clearing TET, CTET etc. as a teacher in government school or college. |

For General category candidates, minimum age to teach in government schools is 19 years and maximum age limit is 40 years.
This age limit may vary from state to state as every State based TET exam have different eligibility criteria for recruiting teachers to teach in government schools. |

CTET is Central Teacher Eligibility Test. The examination is conducted by NTA for recruitment.
The eligibility to appear in the examination varies with post ( Primary, TGT, PGT ). There is no age limit to appear in the examination for PGT. |
