Am I eligible to apply for Navy entrance exam being in class 8th now?

I am in class 8th now. I want to join Indian Navy in future. So, for that I heard I will have to appear for an entrance exam. Can I apply for Navy entrance exam now?

Only those candidates are eligible to appear in NDA examination to join Navy who have appeared or appearing in class 12th examination. Being a 8th class student you are not eligible to appear in this examination to join Navy.

In order to appear in Navy entrance exam, the candidate must have passed 12th class with minimum 60% marks in aggregate with Maths and Physics from a recognized board. As per my knowledge, you are not eligible to appear in Navy entrance after 8th class so as per my suggestion you should have complete 12th class first. The selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of Written Exam, Qualify Physical Fitness Test and Fitness in Medical Examinations.
