Re: What is the age limit and qualification for IAS exam?
I might have provided answers to these kind of questions many a times for many of the candidates.
They are interested to join in civil services but they don't the required information and road map to join in civil services. You don't need to worry about that. I am here to guide you well. In order to get into IAS or any other civil service, you have to crack the following selection procedure CSAT Exam (Civil Services Aptitude Test) Civil Services Main Exam Interview The required academic qualification will be, you should have completed your Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation can also apply for this exam but they should be able to provide the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview. The required age will be, 21-30 years for OC category 21-33 years for the candidates of OBC category 21-35 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. Number of attempts will be, Maximum of 4 attempts for the candidates of General category Maximum of 7 times for the candidates of OBC category No limit on number of attempts for the candidates of SC or ST category. There is fixed syllabus that you have to prepare for CSAT Exam. But when it comes to main exam, you have to opt for one optional subject and have to take Main Exam only on that subject. I suggest you to choose the optional subject in accordance with your stream in Graduation and where your strengths are being fully utilized. Have good preparation for the exam and crack it. Wish you all the best. For updated information on this exam, you can visit http://www.upsc.gov.in/ |
