On getting promotion to Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in India Army, his name published in Gazzete of India and a parchament signed/issued by President of India and handed over to the JCO. Also JCO ranks given the status of Class B Gazzetted officer. Hence JCO (Naib Subedar, Subedar & Subedar Major )are authorised to attest a photocopy with his stamp giving his JC No.

Yes, promotion of a Junior Commissioned Officers are publised in Gazzate of India, also a parchament duly signed by President of India is issued to the JCO on promotion. Junior commissioned Officers of Indian Army are class B Gazzetted Officers hence they can attest photocopy of any certificate with his stamp giving his Junior Commission Number (JC No). I was working as a UDC in a Delhi District Court and appointed as Assistant Accounts Officer ( on ad hoc basis). I just want to know whether I am a gazetted Officer. The other persons appointed as Assistant Accounts Officer on regular basis are gazetted Officer.
