Candidate seeking for admission in the Jammu University, for bachelor of Education [Bed]program must have completed the bachelors degree program from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks. The duration of the program is one year. The syllabus of the program comprise of the following :

Compulsory Papers-:

• Education in Emerging Indian Society
• Psychology of Teaching Learning Process
• School Management and Pedagogics of Education
• Development of Educational System in India.

Oprional - Any one of the following specializations :

• Essentials of Educational Technology
• Information and Communication Technology
• Guidance and Counselling
• Educational Measurement and Evaluation
• Comparative Education
• Educational Administration
• Health and Physical Education
• Environmental Education
• Home Science
• Indian Music

Teaching Subjects - Any one of the followings:

• Teaching of English/Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi
• Teaching of Social Studies (History/Civics/Economics/Geography)
• Teaching of General Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology)
• Teaching of Mathematics.
