Hello dear,

GATE Exam is not only for Higher studies which is previously meant few years back now its for getting the jobs in Public Service Units/ Govt. Jobs.

Many of the students write GATE for M Tech in IITs or IISc, and If they can't get the merit list or not having 99%, they can start looking for NITs- National Institute of technology or some other colleges and If you have applied for the Govt jobs also before the exam of GATE.

Sending your score card may opens a door for you in Public Service Units.

Many PSU's like:


GAIL

BHEL

BEL

BPCL

NPCL

NTPC

HPCL

BARC etc,

Recruit through gate rank Only.



Packages are also very good in govt sector most of them having :

Basic pay of 15600/- to 39500/- with a grade pay of 5400/-. plus

Allowances.


So if you are a girl, there is no exceptions any one can apply for the posts in above sectors. you can also look for higher studies where ever you Interested.

Now most of the PSUs giving relaxation for application fee for girls.

Also girls having some reservation.

You should be having minimum 60% in your B tech for PSUs.

and a Good gate rank can fetch you great jobs.
