in tamilnadu, the toppers of 12th standard board exam , mostly goes to medicine. therefore the medicine cutoff is totally very high when compared to engineering.

the minimum cutoff for medicine is
OC-198 or above
BC-196.5 or above
MBC-196 or above
BCM-195 or above
SC and ST-185 or above

so, to get into the medical field you should work hard friend.
