The terms "invention" and "innovation" are frequently used interchangeably. This is not only wrong, but it also fails to capture some important nuanced meanings that might alter a dialogue. Innovation brings the idea of "use" of an idea or process, whereas invention focuses on the creation of something new.

People often use the words “invention” and “innovation” interchangeably. This is not only incorrect, but misses a few key subtleties in meaning that can change a conversation. Invention is about creating something new, while innovation introduces the concept of “use” of an idea or method.

1) Invention:- The term "Invention" can be defined as creating a completely new idea. 2) Innovation:- The word "Innovation" is improving upon an existing idea. >> For example:- When the first car was made, it was an invention, because there had never been a motorized way to get around before. |

The invention is the introducing to the new things which is never known earlier while the innovation is an act of making changes to the existing product or the process by introducing new ways or ideas.
Innovation is happened when there is a need is felt for a product or improvement in existing product while invention occurs when a new idea strikes a scientist. |
