Having a great degree is just something too easy for many. In essence, this is something everyone is going into and coming out as a graduate. Although this is not a bad thing since it improves the literacy rate. But it also makes everyone equal to the others. Again, not a bad habit or practice but you need to be different in some ways. For instance, my stance to take up mechanical engineering was to be different in my entire family. And this makes me different from many. But since engineering is different from E.D, thus, you need to make some strict choices.
The question you have raised takes us to the very similar point where we need to make a fine and elegant decision with ourselves. Selecting subjects is never easy. This is mostly the case when the field of study is narrower than wide. In B.Ed. you need to step up and select some courses or subjects which will differ between you and others. First, make sure you select general science as a must. Most students look to avoid general science for easy study and education. It leads them to be way far in this world of vast technological advancements. Without basic science knowledge, you will lie in the ranks way below. Thus, for you, science is a must.
Moreover, you need to select some courses for computer science too. Again, this course will not be identical to your full-fledged course of computer science. But it is enough to impart decent knowledge of CS into your brain. And since everything is tech-based nowadays. You will not find any difficulty in the basic work. History is another popular subject for some. Whereas for some it is not. Same goes for geography which is entertaining and fun but only for a minor population.
