Good thing for you that you took training in such technology at early stage of engineering but taking training doesnt ensure that you have good knowledge and concept for that you can do few things like :

1.Do projects on such technology.
2.Take part in techfest and deliver what you got.
3.Try to get exposure on such technology at industry level.
4.Practice it again and again to have a hand over it.
5.Take out latest information and product about Emdedded system and VLSI.

both the field , which you have mentioned are good.

But I will suggest you to go for embedded systems , as it will give promising future.

through this,you can go for GOVT companies like BEL,BHEL,DRDO and also pvt. companies like INTEL, SAMSUNG, SONY etc.

choose the field according to your choice
