What is meant by the word Polytechnic? I have seen many colleges name as Polytechnic Diploma colleges. So, what does these colleges offers? Which all courses comes under Polytechnic?

Polytechnic college is an institution offering higher education in a wide spectrum of subjects which are predominantly technical in nature. It aims more at applied aspects of education and less at the theoretical ones.

The minimum qualification required to pursue such courses is 10th.

The minimum age required to pursue such courses is 15 years.
