Default Re: What does approval from AICTE and UGC means for a college?

- UGC stands for University Grant Commission it means any educational institution in India offering UG (Undergraduate) or PG (Postgraduate) programmes must register it with UGC for its validity. If any college or university is not registered with UGC under government of India, the degree offered by them is not applicable anywhere.

- AICTE stands for All India Council for Technical Education. AICTE approval is needed when any institution offers UG (Undergraduate) or PG (Postgraduate) programmes in technical area i.e B.Tech, M.Tech etc.

- Yes, Budge Budge Institute of Technology is approved by UGC under section 2(f) and AICTE.
