Re: What is the eligibility and course structure for pursuing Diploma in Nursing?
It's a 3 year full time diploma level degree program that deals with fundamentals of nursing .
Those who have completed 10+2 with physics, chemistry and biology with atleast 55% and above marks as compulsary subject are eligible. The admission to the course is merit based. The average fee of the course is INR 1 lakh to 3 lakh. Since there are no entrance exam , the individual universities prepare their own merit list on the basis of students performance in class 12 and the number of seats available in their degree program. |

Re: What is the eligibility and course structure for pursuing Diploma in Nursing?
1. For DGNM (Diploma in General Nursing)- Candidates should have passed 10+2 passed with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
2. Also referred to GNM in some colleges, the 3.5-year diploma programme is aimed at preparing general nurses that can effectively perform nursing duties in hospitals and other places where their services might be required. |
